Guido Giacometti
Parker Ranch hunt guide, Guido Giacometti lives in Kamuela and has been hunting the hills of Parker Ranch since childhood. An upland game bird hunter, Giacometti takes much pride in working with his dogs, is accomplished at finding birds and turkeys and an all around great bird guide. Guido is also well known and respected on the Big Island and also a long-time member of our Hunting Hui. He has hunted on the islands of Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kauai, and the Big Island, and also in Oregon, Colorado, and Wyoming. Guido is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and member of Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and Rocky Mountain Elk.
Jeff Guilloz
Retired from active duty after 20 years of honorable service in the U.S. Marine Corps, hunting guide Jeff Guilloz served our country in Desert Storm in 1990, 1991, Afganistan in 2001 and two tours in Iraq in 2003 and 2005. He helped set up the Camp Pendleton Sportmans club on MCB Camp Pendleton, California. Jeff grew up hunting and trapping in Ohio where he mastered his craft and developed his love for the outdoors. He has hunted 20 different animals in six different states which include Ohio, California, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Maine, and Hawaii. His different styles of hunting include Archery, Black Powder, Rifle, Shotgun, crossbows, and cage traps. In addition to being a hunting guide at Parker Ranch, Jeff is in charge of Predator control, and works in Parker Ranch’s Security department. He is a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club and Veteran of Foreign Wars, and a member of the National Rifle Association, National Wild Turkey Federation, and Disabled American Veteran.
Trevor Lackey
Trevor was born to hunt and grew up using and testing all the new state of the art hunting equipment and gear from the family business that his father owned and operated. Trevor stood alongside his dad doing demonstrations at trade shows, and has met and hunted with legendary hunting icons which helped form his life experiences today. Before joining the maintenance team at Parker Ranch in 2006, Trevor lived on the island of O’ahu where he served in the US Marine Corps for 4 years. Trevor’s styles of hunting include archery, shotgun, rifle and dogs. At Parker Ranch he has guided Turkey, Goat, and Sheep hunts. When he is not hunting, Trevor enjoys shooting, welding, fabrication, and diesel repair.
Shane Muramaru
Born and raised in a small plantation town of Paauilo on the Big Island, local boy Shane Muramaru shares with our clients his vast experience and knowledge of the Big Island and of Parker Ranch where he currently works as our Director of Safety and Security and is responsible for protecting over 130,000 acres of Parker Ranch land. After graduating from Honoka’a High School, Shane joined the United States Coast Guard for 4 years which allowed him the opportunity to get a degree at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Shane also served in the Hawaii Army National Guard for 12 years, and is currently a Volunteer Conservation Resource Officer for the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resource for the past 12 years, and formally a Hawaii County Police Officer for 16 years. He is a firearms enthusiast and enjoys five different styles of hunting and has hunted in 4 different states. When he is not at work, he enjoys bird hunting with Buddy his English Pointer as well as mammal hunting and fishing, small scale animal husbandry, leather work, and spending time with his children. Shane is part of the National Rifle Association, North American Hunting Club, and the National Wildlife Turkey Federation.
Charlie Pahio
Go hunting or just come along for the ride with local hunting guide Charlie Pahio as he shares his love for the outdoors and the rich history of Parker Ranch. Charlie grew up on the ranch and now as a 4th-generation Parker Ranch employee since 1991, he has lots of hunting stories to share. Working in our maintenance department, Charlie wears many different hats and is very familiar with our ranch lands and the game that he so enjoys hunting. Charlie has hunted on the islands of Hawai’i, Kaua’i, Maui, Moloka’i, Lana’i, and also in the states of California and Arizona. He has hunted 9 different game animals, and at Parker Ranch has guided Big Game, Upland Bird, and Turkey hunts.
Leon Scott
An expert sharp shooter in the United States Marine, repeat Hawaii rodeo champion, and Parker Ranch Cowboy since 1987 are just a few highlights of Paul “Leon” Scott’s impressive list of credentials. In addition to being a cowboy, Leon heads up our game and habitat management for our pig and wild bird populations. A hunter since a child, Leon offers his vast knowledge of hunting, guns, and most importantly, safety, to our clients. Originally from Panama City, Florida, Leon came to Hawaii via the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in 1983 as a helicopter mechanic/crew chief with HMH 463. He left the USMC after a 10 year stint and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii in 1987 when he started his career at Parker Ranch. An avid gun enthusiast and expert sharp shooter in the Marine Corps., Leon continues to hold himself to that high standard. Leon is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), and a NRA certified instructor in rifles, shotguns, and pistols. He was also named Hawaii Rodeo Cowboy Champion for Bareback Bronc in 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1997 and in the Saddle Bronc in 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997.
